Lena Joffe
Lena is joint founder and Director of Agewise Recruitment. She is responsible for running the recruitment services and for client relations.
An early career in magazine (Haymarket Publishing) and book publishing (Robert Nicholson/Hutchinson) as a managing editor, was the foundation for a lifelong focus on how best to convey factual information in the most accessible and powerful way. This drives the Agewise shortlisting process and the invaluable profiling that accompanies it.
Over the last decade she has concentrated on age diversity and employment, building relationships with senior executives of charities and businesses to deliver innovative recruitment solutions at all levels, along with co-developing and facilitating the Agewise training programmes.
Lena has run a business for over 10 years and is a trustee of a local charity providing support to people with learning disabilities.

Davina Lloyd
![]() | Davina has worked in communications all her life – as Chief Executive of Channel Four Learning, Editor of Practical Parenting, a weekly columnist on the Times and a writer and broadcaster on issues about families, children, education and employment. She spent 10 years as an employment consultant working in the field of Age Diversity, and co-founded Agewise Recruitment with Lena Joffe. Having always led on the Agewise training programmes, Davina has taken a step back from recruitment to focus on training, facilitation and one-to-one coaching. She has extensive experience in mentoring candidates to present their skills and experience in the most favourable light to prospective employers, and delivering training programmes for the Department for Works & Pensions to help unemployed executives get back to work. Her expertise derives from many years with Agewise Recruitment, together with a passion for celebrating diversity and enabling others to reach their full potential.

Beatrice Harper
![]() | Beatrice is an experienced recruiter, headhunter and journalist. Her background was in academic research; she gained a PhD in East German Political Science, speaks fluent German, and ran a number of comparative Anglo-German research projects investigating the management and policy implications of health and safety regulations for London South Bank University Business School. Her journalism includes working at the European Industrial Relations Review where she covered EU employment regulation and human resources. At the Equal Opportunities Review she has written a series of best practice case studies on diversity and equal opportunities. Beatrice’s recruitment expertise includes working for a niche headhunting/recruitment agency which placed editorial staff and at a specialist actuarial agency recruiting for the risk and insurance industry. At Agewise, Beatrice has assisted in delivering training courses for executives and recruited for a range of third sector and commercial organisations.
