Paint a perfect ‘Profile’ of yourself
|
 |
A profile usually appears at the beginning of your CV and introduces you. It should be brief – no more than two or three sentences – and succinct. Although it is the first thing that is read about you, it should be the last CV section that you write. Take time to think about what you want to say and get someone else to read it and give you their opinion. It is not meant to show everything you have ever done, or give a rounded human portrait of you. It is a device for pinpointing the skills and qualities you have that make you suitable for a particular job. Your experience will equip you for more than one type of job, and you can change your profile to reflect this when you apply for different positions.
